This new house in a traditional style with a Southern flair and lots of architectural detail was recently completed and painted. All the trim is white and roof black. This gives whatever color you choose for the painted siding a crisp clean look. We chose a creamy golden beige, one of Benjamin Moore’s Historical Colors, HC35, Powell Buff.
This house has a front porch and a covered back deck. We wanted to use a different color for the ceilings of both porches. We felt a blue, the color of a clear sky would add dimension and brightness. In the picture above you can see the blue peaking out. The color we used is Sherwin Williams 6498 Byte Blue. Here’s a photo of the back deck ceiling.
The exterior colors we used bring a warmth to the house and a welcoming and inviting feeling. Who could wish for anything more?
