This kitchen needed to be painted. The client was tired of the dark peachy color that now looked dated.
The first thing I noticed was that the crown molding had never been painted and was a decorative element that now needed to be addressed. I suggested painting it the same color as the rest of the woodwork. It would open up the space and give it a light airy feeling. I chose Benjamin Moore OC-17 White Dove.
The window shades and seat cushions were staying. The dominent colors were a deep orange/terra cotta and light beige. There was also some peach color in the granite counter top and ceramic floor tile. The cabinetry had an antique white finish.
I chose Benjamin Moore 1088 Home Sweet Home for the walls. It is a warm beige with just a hint of peach. The room looks fantastic, fresh, clean, open, and new.
